ESPAÑOL: MUD es un centro para el encuentro de
diferentes formas de expresión musical, abierto a otras formas de creatividad
(danza, video, multimedia) comenzado por Alejandro Bravo y Alain Piñero en la
primavera de 2005.
La historia común de A. & A. viene desde Mayo de 2001 cuando coinciden en una
sesión de improvisación, desde entonces han trabajado juntos en varios proyectos
y compartido numerosos escenarios en distintas formaciones. Ambos han viajado
ampliamente para impregnarse de aprendizajes de distintos orígenes:
Alejandro viajó a Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Marruecos,
India, Nepal, Portugal, Inglaterra y por España. Profundiza en el arpa de boca (Morshing)
en el Sur de India con Srirangam Kannan y canto Carnático con Anurada
Krishnamurthi, en el Norte de India canto Dhrupad y harmoniun con Pandit
Indrakishore Mishra y arpa de boca (Morchang) con los gitanos del Rajasthan.
Trabajó ténicas de Bellcanto con diversas profesoras y desarrolló el canto
armónico y el didgeridoo de forma autodidacta. Realizó actuaciones en todos sus
viajes.
Alain estudió piano
y varias técnicas de guitarra: clásica en conservatorio, eléctrica (rock),
acústica con púa en Guitar Craft y finalmente se especializa en el tapping.
También se aplica con los instrumentos digitales. Ha tocado en escenarios de
toda España principalmente con Javier Paxariño, asi como por Alemania, Italia,
Bélgica, Portugal, Nueva York y Argentina en otras formaciones y como solista.
En verano de 2006 se une al grupo Ricardo Passos: estudió guitarra clásica y
piano en la Escuela Óscar da Silva en Matosinhos, jazz en la Escola de Jazz do
Porto, guitarra flamenca en Granada. En Istambul estudió saz con Cem Yildiz. En
el Cairo derbuka y panderos con Hassan Youssef. En Irán tonbak y def. En el
Norte de India pakawaj y canto Dhrupad con Pandit Sri Kant Mishra y Rajesh Sendh.
En el Sur de India konakol con V. Suresh y canto Carnático con Anuradha
Krishnamurthi. En Marruecos música Gnawa con Jamal Babamar. Ha desarrollado de
forma autodidacta técnicas de canto armónico. Realizó conciertos en Portugal,
España, Turquía , Irán, México y Marruecos
MUD ha tocado por España, Francia y Portugal y acaba de grabar su primer cd en
el estudio BeatBox de colmenar Viejo, Madrid.

MUD is a meeting center for different
forms of musical expression open to other creative fields (dance, video,
multimedia) iniciated by Alejandro Bravo and Alain Piñero on 2005.
The common history of A & A begins when they met at an improv session in May
2001, since then they have work together in many different projects and shared a
good lot of escenarios. Both travelled extensively to learn about music.
Alejandro travelled to Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Marruecos,
India, Nepal, Portugal, England and Spain. He studied mouth harp (morshing) in
the South of Índia with Srirangam Kannan and Carnatic chant with Anuradha
Krishnamurthi. In the North of Índia Dhrupad singing and harmonium with Pandit
Indrakishore Mishra and mouht harp (morchang) on the Rajastan. He learnt
Bellcanto with several teachers and developed overtone singing and didgeridoo
selftaught. He performed in all the countries he travelled.
Alain studied piano and several guitar techniques; classic, electric (rock),
acoustic with plectrum in Guitar Craft and finally touch guitar. He also manages
digital instruments. He has played on stages all around Spain, mainly with
Javier Paxariño and also in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, New York and
Argentina with different groups and as a soloist.
In the summer of 2006 Ricardo Passos joined the group, he studied classical
guitar and piano at the Escola Óscar da Silva in Matosinhos, jazz at the Escola
de jazz do Porto, flamenco guitar in Granada. In Turkye he studied saz with Cem
Yildiz, in Egipto darbuka and frame drums with Hassan Youssef, in Iran tonbak
and def, in the North of Índia pakawaj wih Pandit Sri Kant Mishra and Dhrupad
singing with Rajesh Sendh, in the South of Índia konakol with V. Suresh and
Carnatic chant with Anuradha Krishnamurthi. In Maroc Gnawa music with Jamal
Babamar. He developed overtone singing selftaught. He has played in Portugal,
Spain, Turkye, Iran, México and Maroc.
MUD has played in Spain, France and Portugal and has just recorded its first cd
at BeatBox estudio in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid.
